World of Self-Care currently offers three unique workshops and talks which can be delivered in a variety of settings. We strive to facilitate a safe space where participants feel comfortable sharing themselves, just as they are. We will will do this by sharing ourselves as authentically as we can.
The Self-Care Jar
The Self-Care Jar is a discussion based participatory workshop, exploring what self-care is, and how to actively make it a daily practice. During this workshop participants will be led through a short mindfulness exercise, take part in an active discussion about the challenges of self-care, and make a self-care jar which they can take home. The workshop then closes with a reflection, with each participant setting one intention/goal relating to how they will put what they learnt into practice.
The aim of the workshop is to encourage people to understand that the love they give to themselves from themselves is to be valued and used daily.
Mental Health and Me
Georgia will deliver a keynote talk that will explore her experiences of living with a mental health condition. The aims are to raise awareness of mental health issues so that participants are more aware of the issues in relation to their own mental health, to provide practical strategies in coping with stress and anxiety and to break down the stigma and myths people may have
Body Confidence – Naked Beach Training
